What bookkeeping services are included?
Our core bookkeeping & payroll service includes monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, giving and contribution tracking, financial and budget reports (delivered by the 7th business day each month), invoice and reimbursement management, QuickBooks Online maintenance, full ministry payroll, and secure client portal access. Everything your church needs to keep accurate finances — starting at $300/month.
How does your church payroll service work?
Our payroll service is designed specifically for churches and Christian nonprofits. It includes clergy housing allowance processing, SECA compliance, quarterly 941 filings, year-end W-2 and 1099 preparation, and direct deposit. We handle the complexity of ministry payroll so your team can focus on the mission — starting at $100/month.
Can you handle multi-state ministry staff?
Yes. We provide bookkeeping and payroll services nationwide. We currently serve ministries in all 50 states.
What accounting software do you use?
We work exclusively in QuickBooks Online, which is well-suited for churches and Christian ministries. We handle all setup, chart of accounts customization, and ongoing maintenance — so you don't have to worry about the software. We also utilize a standardized set of cloud-based tools (including Bill.com and Uncat) designed to reduce your administrative workload and keep our rates affordable.
Do you offer any training or resources?
Yes. As part of our mission to lead churches to God-honoring stewardship, we offer resources and training tailored to your ministry's needs. The ChurchBiz Hub includes video courses, downloadable tools, community forums, and live Q&A sessions — all designed to equip your finance team to lead with integrity and excellence.
Working With Us
Will I be working with a real person?
Absolutely. Each client is assigned a dedicated Client Service Representative (CSR) as their primary point of contact. Your CSR is trained and supported by our team of CPAs, and they'll be your go-to person for any questions or needs. You'll also have a ChurchBiz partner who regularly checks in to ensure we're meeting your expectations.
How quickly will I get my financial reports?
We guarantee timely financials. Your financial statements are delivered by the 7th business day of each month, every month. The only thing that would cause a delay is if our team is waiting on necessary information from your team.
What is your communication like?
We guarantee a 24-hour response time. Your dedicated Client Service Representative will respond to you within 24 business hours (Monday–Friday) to ensure we are attentive to your needs. You'll never wonder who to contact or when you'll hear back.
My church just has volunteers handling the books. How can you help?
We can relieve the burden on your volunteer staff. By partnering with ChurchBiz, you gain continuity of service — when a volunteer leaves, you don't have to worry about managing the transition of duties, logins, or historical data.
